Mirth Connect remains the workhorse of healthcare integration. At Felicitas, we're using it to build the 'on-ramps' for AI. By using Mirth to transform HL7 into JSON and then feeding that into vector databases, we make patient history searchable for AI agents.
The Modern Integration Stack
A typical AI pipeline looks like this: EHR -> Mirth Connect -> Data Warehouse (Snowflake/BigQuery) -> AI Model. Mirth handles the complex connectivity to the EHR, while the warehouse provides the scale needed for AI training and inference.
